Teddy bear clinic - Bring your kids and their teddy bear (or other stuffed animal)! The Family Medicine team will be on hand to “stitch” loose seams, listen to heartbeats, “splint” broken limbs, check blood pressure and more!
-
Falls and home safety equipment assessment - We will be performing Timed Up & Go tests, 30-second chair stand assessments, 4-stage balance tests, Grip Strength and Functional Reach tests. We will also have experts on hand to talk to visitors about equipment and ideas to help fix the hazards for every room/area in your home that could cause you to fall
-
Medication review - Medication reviews help prevent the dangerous and costly consequences of taking medications incorrectly or mixing certain drugs and supplements. Bring a list of your medications or bring in the bottle and visit with PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) degree students from PCOM School of Pharmacy. Pharmacists are very knowledgeable about how medicines work and interact with others. If concerns are noticed during the review, you’ll be able to talk to your physician about it.
Come enjoy all of this and more as we celebrate our time in Buford!
